Just 18 days after giving birth to her son Conor and in the first win for No. 19 Tennessee in this epic rivalry since 2007, first-year coach Kim Caldwell’s Lady Vols took down No. 5 UConn at home, 80-76.

For the first time since 2007, the Tennessee Lady Volunteers have beaten the Connecticut Huskies. A highly anticipated showdown between the two teams lived up to expectation and saw Tennessee come away with an 80-76 victory.

UConn shot at 40.3% from the field, which is more than 10% less than their season average. Four UConn players registered double figures

Zee Spearman scored 18 points, including a basket with 12 seconds left, to lead No. 19 Tennessee to an 80-76 win over No. 5 UConn on Thursday night. The Lady Volunteers (17-5) led 78-76 when Jewel Spear found Spearman for the basket.
