NCIS: Sydney is back on the beat with its second season, keeping the NCIS franchise alive and kicking after the axing of NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawaii.

The Australia-based task force, featuring US NCIS agents Michelle Mackey (played by Olivia Swann) and DeShawn Jackson (Sean Sagar), teams up with the Australian Federal Police to solve military cases in the iconic city of Sydney.

Their new teammates include Constable Evie Cooper (Tuuli Narkle), forensic scientist Bluebird ‘Blue’ Gleeson (Mavournee Hazel) and forensic pathologist Roy Penrose (William McInnes). Mackey is reluctantly partnered with Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey (Todd Lasance), who fans discovered recently separated from his wife at the end of the first season.

The Trump administration evicted former Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan from her home with three hours of notice on Tuesday. Adan Manzano died on Wednesday in New Orleans while on assignment to cover the Super Bowl for both Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports.

She promised a “next level” season where the writers and actors “swing for the fences.” Swann added, “We don’t hold back and there’s a lot of risks being taken, which is just so exciting to play with and so exciting to film .” Season 2 of NCIS: Sydney premieres on CBS Friday, February 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
