The Roswell police officer who was shot and killed Friday night has been identified as 24-year-old Jeremy Labonte, according to Roswell Police. Labonte was shot and killed while responding to a “suspicious person” call at a shopping center at 1425 Market Blvd.

Early Sunday afternoon, Roswell police said in a social media post that they were overwhelmed by the public’s response to a memorial patrol car they set up in front of their building the previous afternoon.
