The work DOGE has drawn fury from Democrats and charges that it is illegally accessing the private data of millions of Americans, and violating the Constitution.

Elon Musk launched a poll on his social media platform X Friday to ask followers if he should rehire Marko Elez, a 25-year-old software engineer who had been working on the DOGE project that’s currently ransacking the federal government.

Marko Elez, 25, resigned Thursday from DOGE, after his controversial tweets promoting racism and eugenics were exposed.
