The Boston Bruins are struggling this season and Brad Marchand is in the final year of his deal, sparking a real possibility for a trade.

The Bruins have done little to inspire confidence that a late-season surge into the postseason is in the cards. Since Neely’s comments, the Bruins are 3-3-1, dropping back-to-back games against the Sabres and Jets this week by a combined score of 13-4.

With the Bruins continuing to struggle, the chatter around them potentially becoming sellers only increases. Several Bruins have come up in the rumor mill but captain and pending unrestricted free agent Brad Marchand is easily the biggest name of the bunch.

ESPN analyst and NHL insider Kevin Weekes is never shy about stirring the pot. While he’s plugged in and breaks the news, he also likes to stir the pot, which he was clearly doing on Friday during an interview on TSN with Gino Reda.
