2017年2月17日 · The orthophoto scenery packages are based on output created by Ortho4XP by Oscar Pilote. I have color corrected the source images to remove the "washed out" appearance that is common with orthophotos. The settings vary a bit by region, but in general, the colors should appear darker and deeper than they would without the color correction.

2015年11月4日 · Users who like to fly with orthophoto based sceneries may be interested in the free software Ortho4XP. It has been developed in the last few months and has evolved according to the feed-back from participants of the french forum x-plane.fr. Being mostly Python based, it is also cross-platform, at least Linux, OS X and Windows.

2024年4月4日 · It doesn't contain Mesh or autogen, it's just an orthophoto texture! This orthophoto does not need an additional mesh or autogen, it is made to be universal. !!! If there is nothing else in the scenery folder, the ortho will be projected onto the default terrain (I recommend this, because of the new features in xpl 12) and use the default autogen.

2021年12月31日 · Thanks for the link of that other project. It sounds like a similar technique is being used. I could see combining the ideas and doing on the fly compression if a jpg/png is available, otherwise fetching.
