My comparison was between an old 912 that recently went on here for the low $30s, which is about the same range as a 996T - and was alluding to the fact that 1) The 912 is a shorthood, 2) It's an old Porsche, 3) It's somewhat like a 911, and 4) It drives like an old 911 (at least the '67 that I drove).

I highly doubt anything that old has an AUX port. You can buy head units without a CD player that have bluetooth and AUX ports for 30 bucks for a cheap POS from walmart to name brand ones at 75+. I'd just get another one. The other option is you can get a Chinese made FM adapter on ebay for under 10 bucks that runs through the FM radio.

2008年4月13日 · Everywhere I read about the job insisted that you HAD to pull all the rear suspension parts to remove the tube to get room to work on the damper. This was also claimed by the Porsche specialist's mechanic too. It's total BS. You can easily do the job just by pulling the tube about six inches back once the tranny is off.

My five year old has been in my 911's since he was born and my two year old goes in the every day. I have a safe and sound fitted. I would advise you that it takes a bit of fiddling to get the seat right. I still reckon the 911 is a safer car than the wifes 4WD Michael

The car was raced, originally in the old SCCA GT4 class, with the Porsche club racing series and just about anyone else I could find. It currently has a Momo FIA racing seat that was left over from the Inquisition and Boxster six piston front and older 911 rear calipers.

I've got a book entitled "Porsche Catalogs - A Visual History from 1948 to Present Day" by M. Toogood. Found it at a rummage sale for $1. It's full of reprints of old advertisements, brochures, catalogs, etc. - if you're interested in the old posters, you'll like this book. -- Curt
