2010年6月21日 · You should drive a few of the models you are considering. Also, try the 996/997 Forum down the page of Pelican Parts Technical Forums. Porsche 996/997 Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS 993s are all pretty good. 964 vs 993, a systems analysis All …

  3. Are old 911s becoming overrated cars ? - Pelican Parts Forums

2015年3月9日 · The original post is about '64 to '97 911s. My comparison was between an old 912 that recently went on here for the low $30s, which is about the same range as a 996T - and was alluding to the fact that 1) The 912 is a shorthood, 2) It's an old Porsche, 3) It's somewhat like a 911, and 4) It drives like an old 911 (at least the '67 that I drove).

  4. How common and severe is orange peel on a new respray

2023年8月9日 · Seriously though, look at the side of any factory SUV, even Porsche, the orange peel will make your eyes bleed. Orange peel is caused from improper atomization. House producers wanted to end the show after season 8 to keep the enigmatic appeal of the central character and maintain the show's mystique.

  5. 996 Years to Avoid? - Pelican Parts Forums

2006年1月6日 · I'd like the opinion of the group concerning if there are any "bad" years of the 996. My policy is usually to avoid the first year or two of any new model.

  6. Help with an old Alpine head unit - Pelican Parts Forums

I highly doubt anything that old has an AUX port. You can buy head units without a CD player that have bluetooth and AUX ports for 30 bucks for a cheap POS from walmart to name brand ones at 75+. I'd just get another one. The other option is you can get a Chinese made FM adapter on ebay for under 10 bucks that runs through the FM radio.

  7. Flex plate damper repair - Pelican Parts Forums

2008年4月13日 · Everywhere I read about the job insisted that you HAD to pull all the rear suspension parts to remove the tube to get room to work on the damper. This was also claimed by the Porsche specialist's mechanic too. It's total BS. You can easily do the job just by pulling the tube about six inches back once the tranny is off.

  8. Baby/child seat solution?.......but in Australia ... - Pelican Parts

My five year old has been in my 911's since he was born and my two year old goes in the every day. I have a safe and sound fitted. I would advise you that it takes a bit of fiddling to get the seat right. I still reckon the 911 is a safer car than the wifes 4WD Michael

  9. 914 Seat Options - Pelican Parts Forums

The car was raced, originally in the old SCCA GT4 class, with the Porsche club racing series and just about anyone else I could find. It currently has a Momo FIA racing seat that was left over from the Inquisition and Boxster six piston front and older 911 rear calipers.

  10. Old porsche posters - Pelican Parts Forums

I've got a book entitled "Porsche Catalogs - A Visual History from 1948 to Present Day" by M. Toogood. Found it at a rummage sale for $1. It's full of reprints of old advertisements, brochures, catalogs, etc. - if you're interested in the old posters, you'll like this book. -- Curt
