The major concern in the past was the infection factor ( potential Sepsis ) however with todays newer antibiotics , this risk is about the same as the Transperineal .

2024年3月2日 · Just a couple minor points. I had a transperineal biopsy at Mayo last May '23, and it was under anesthesia. That is how they do it. When I had Tulsa Pro in November '23 (not at Mayo) they needed a clearance, basically it is a form you can give any one of your doctors who has seen you in past and they can fill it out. They also need an EKG.

2022年3月22日 · In April I will be having a Transperineal biopsy with the Precisionpoint Transperineal Access System, and have a question to anyone who has gone through such a procedure. The plan is to do a several directed biopsies to a suspicious area found on an MRI in the transition zone, plus an additional 15 cores in other areas of the prostate.
